Shale Creek Kennels was founded by Grace Lavoie, Jacob Lavoie's younger sister, in 2001. As of now, she breeds only huskies, but is a total dog-lover. Her dogs are her "babies", always coming before anyone- or, anything- in her presence. Any puppy born at Shale Creek Kennels is capable of being registered by any club that welcomes huskies, because they not only meet- they exceed any standard set by those "in charge". To evoke the covetable temperaments inculcated in Shale Creek's pups by their champion parents, each and every one of them is hand-raised.
Grace is 21 years old. She isn't married, but she does have a boyfriend. His name is Ian Daley. They met at the dog park, strangely enough. Fortunately, Ian loved huskies. When he moved in only four months later, he was forced to share a bed with- not only Grace- but Juneau, who was never far from Grace's side. Jaeger was at the foot of the bed, and Kale insisted on laying right between the two. The rest were content in their own beds.
By no means is Grace rich, but she was spared a modest legacy by her father, Richard Lavoie: 300,000 simoleans for Jacob and his sister to share. This, along with the money Grace had been saving for years, granted her the green-back to purchase an open plot of land for her dogs to roam- no kennels, no cages- just lots of space for the dogs she loved so much. From there, she had a simple, two bed-room home constructed on her acreage.
Grace and Ian were so in love. Two years passed since they had met, and the two were still in the "honeymoon phase" of their relationship. Ian proposed to Grace on their anniversary in a way that was bound to have her say yes. Ian met with a breeder, purchased an Agouti-colored husky puppy, and gave it to his soon-to-be fiancé. Around its neck was a tiny, jewel-encrusted collar with a tag that read "Mrs. Daley". Confused, Grace looked at Ian with a puzzled expression. It was then that he got down on one knee and proposed to her.
